Although the Seton Outreach Center is located in Emmitsburg, they serve all of Northern Frederick County- Thurmont, Emmitsburg, and surrounding communities in North county. Our Programs: Sponsored and staffed by the Daughters of Charity (DOC), DOC employees, and volunteers, Seton Center Outreach serves all residents of Northern Frederick County, Maryland. While we do provide emergency financial assistance when necessary, our goal is to help our neighbors build bridges out of poverty by offering programs that will educate, empower, and encourage them to move forward to a better, sustainable life. Our goals are to: Address basic human needs Stem homelessness Build strong, healthy families Provide referral services Maintain the health of seniors Support the transition out of poverty Seton Family Store Our family thrift store enjoys a long history, going back to the founding of the original Seton Center in 1969. We offer a variety of high-quality, preloved items donated by community members.
